Job description
About the Company
itsu [grocery] is a lively, fast-expanding business focused on Asian-inspired healthy food, operating across retail and wholesale markets worldwide. The company is seeking a Supply Chain Projects Lead to join its Supply Chain function in London.
Role Overview
In this position, you will act as the supply chain lead for all NPD and EPD initiatives, ensuring operational factors are considered early so products are launch-ready. You will work across several teams, keeping supply chain stakeholders updated throughout the project lifecycle from initial concept through to the first customer delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Own supply chain readiness for new product launches and range changes, making sure minimum order quantities, lead times, critical milestones and supply chain risks are identified, agreed and tracked through the Gate process.
- Partner with project teams to represent supply chain interests across all NPD and EPD workstreams.
- Collaborate with the Supply and Demand teams to run scenario planning with Risk & Ops well ahead of time.
- Ensure accurate product master data is captured and shared before launch.
- Confirm the correct barcode formats are used and that artwork is produced and printed accurately so products scan properly at launch.
- Work with Customer Service to test ordering processes and help secure a smooth first delivery from the warehouse to the customer.
- Carry out post-launch reviews to assess master data quality, process efficiency and opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to wider procurement and supply chain initiatives, including repackaging and relabelling work.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in supply chain, project management or an operational role, ideally gained in FMCG or food manufacturing.
- Strong planning and organisational ability, with confidence working under pressure, meeting deadlines and handling several priorities at once.
- High levels of accuracy and a strong eye for detail.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Good understanding of the NPD Gate process and solid knowledge of supply chain operations.
- Preferred, though not mandatory: familiarity with Incoterms, freight and customs processes for food imports, and GS1 barcode standards.
- An adaptable, open-minded, hands-on attitude with a friendly and flexible approach in a fast-changing business environment.
What We Offer
- Opportunity to join a growing food business.
- Scope to influence change and contribute to the company’s growth.
- Competitive pay.
- Bonus plan.
- 25 days of holiday.
- Private health insurance.
- Company pension scheme.
- Free itsu lunch.
- 50% discount at itsu.
