Job description
Overview
Eurostar is looking for a Supply Chain Performance and Forecast Analyst to join its Rolling Stock team and support both Cross-Channel fleets (e300 and e320) and Continental fleets (PBA and PBKA). This is a hands-on permanent position based at the Temple Mills depot in Leyton.
The role sits at the heart of the Supply Chain function in a complex, asset-heavy environment. It calls for strong analytical capability to turn data into practical insight that improves materials management, stores, procurement, forecasting, inventory control and supplier performance. You will help shape decisions across the supply chain by building reporting, monitoring key metrics, improving replenishment processes and strengthening data quality.
The position may require on-call availability.
The recruitment deadline is 5pm on Wednesday, 1 July 2026, though the employer may review applications and progress suitable candidates before that date and may close the role early if needed. Internal reference: grade F, travel services 4-5.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain supplier and supply chain performance reporting, including KPI structures, executive dashboards, scorecards and detailed ad hoc analysis.
- Create and apply analytical methods and tools that improve visibility across the supply chain and support stronger decisions and measurable performance gains.
- Review supplier and supply chain performance across availability, OTIF, service levels, repair turnaround time and forecast accuracy, while identifying risks, root causes and opportunities to improve.
- Own and improve forecasting and replenishment processes for train spare parts, including optimisation of planning tools and collaboration with Supply Chain Planners on planning strategies.
- Prepare clear, practical insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders in Materials, Stores and Procurement to support both operational and strategic work.
- Lead stocktake coordination and analysis across multiple locations, then drive corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy, control and working capital performance.
- Manage the quality, governance and ongoing improvement of supply chain master data, supported by strong audit controls and data standards.
- Produce accurate supply chain reporting for Finance, including monthly performance reporting, variance analysis and forecasting inputs.
- Serve as a senior connector between Supply Chain and IT, promoting data quality, system improvement and effective use of analytics across the supply chain community.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of substantial experience in supply chain, logistics or materials management within a complex, asset-intensive or engineering-led organisation.
- A demonstrated history of improving supply chain performance through analysis, insight generation and influence with stakeholders.
- Strong working knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes, including forecasting, demand planning, replenishment, inventory management and supplier performance management.
- Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and converting complex data into concise, commercially relevant recommendations.
- Desirable familiarity with rolling stock maintenance needs, including parts categories and trainset operations; high-speed rail knowledge is also advantageous.
- Advanced analytical skills with strong Excel and Power BI capability; SQL is desirable; comfort working with large, complex data sets and maintaining accuracy is essential.
- Strong personal leadership traits such as ownership, resilience and accountability, with the ability to work independently, prioritise well and perform in a fast-moving environment.
- Advanced English is essential, and business-level French would be an advantage.
- The hiring process includes a self-recorded video interview followed by two interview stages.
Benefits
- Travel perks for both business and personal use, including 75% off the underground network from day one.
- A competitive defined benefit pension arrangement.
- Complimentary Eurostar travel tickets.
- Reduced-price Eurostar tickets for friends and family.
- Access to ongoing learning, training and development.
- Additional exclusive discounts, deals and employee perks.
