Role overview
The Supply Chain Manager for Connectors owns strategic sourcing and day-to-day supply chain execution for interconnect commodities. The position is focused on keeping materials available, maintaining competitive cost, and protecting supply continuity. It also supports high-volume manufacturing by improving supplier strategy, optimizing cost, ensuring clear-to-build readiness, and resolving shortages quickly.
Key responsibilities
- Direct sourcing strategy for connectors and electromechanical parts.
- Build strong supplier partnerships and oversee supplier performance and ongoing improvement.
- Create cost models and manage commercial discussions, negotiations, and contracts.
- Support clear-to-build readiness and keep supply aligned with production requirements.
- Lead shortage recovery work from issue identification through root-cause analysis and execution of corrective actions.
- Find, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to strengthen supply resilience.
- Work closely with engineering and other cross-functional partners to align technical needs with supply plans.
Required background
- At least 3–5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or supply chain work involving electronics or mechanical commodities.
- Hands-on experience with supplier management, negotiations, and cost analysis/modeling.
- Demonstrated success in resolving shortages and driving supply recovery.
- Good understanding of clear-to-build processes and production readiness metrics.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and operations teams.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing or technology setting.
