Overview
This opportunity sits within a Fortune Global 500 organization and offers the chance to help shape efficient, high-performing supply chain operations. The role is part of MNX, a UPS company focused on time-critical logistics and supply chain services for highly sensitive shipments, including medical devices, cancer therapy products, aircraft engines, network hardware, encrypted media drives, and transplant organs.
Role Summary
You will oversee supply chain and distribution activities in a busy healthcare logistics environment, with responsibility for staff coordination and multiple operational initiatives. The position focuses on strong execution across warehousing, transport, inventory, and purchasing, while also supporting process improvement and system transition work across platforms such as HELIX, CTMS, MAESTRO, MXWMS, and CARGO WISE.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day warehouse and dispatch operations within the supply chain and distribution network.
- Build, implement, and monitor strategies, policies, and plans for purchasing, storage, and distribution.
- Set and maintain inventory levels that satisfy demand while controlling cost.
- Oversee outbound dispatch planning, prioritization, scheduling, and on-time delivery performance.
- Track inventory movement and stock allocation to preserve continuity and operational efficiency.
- Review and enhance storage and inventory control systems to improve accuracy.
- Negotiate supplier agreements with attention to quality, value, and dependable supply.
- Serve as a central point of contact between warehouse teams, transport partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate labour and transport resources to improve productivity and service delivery.
- Measure and interpret performance indicators such as delivery results, stock accuracy, and freight performance.
- Keep accurate records of dispatches, stock movements, and transactions for compliance and traceability.
- Train, guide, and supervise warehouse and dispatch employees while ensuring safety and performance standards are met.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that strengthen visibility and distribution effectiveness.
- Support management of logistics service providers so service, operational, and cost expectations are met.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements for WMS and HELIX-related workflows.
- Assist with the ongoing optimization of logistics systems and operating procedures.
Experience and Skills
- Demonstrated background in logistics or supply chain operations, including project-related work.
- People leadership and staff management capability.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Analytical approach with sound problem-solving and risk management ability.
- Comfort working from detailed instructions and established procedures.
- Ability to coordinate tasks within a team environment with limited supervision.
- Accountability for the quality of personal work output.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Working Conditions
The role may occasionally require work in cold storage conditions at around -4 degrees Celsius for short periods. You must be able to remain alert and operate safely at all times.
Additional Information
