Novaris Search is representing a fast-growing company in the personal care and beauty manufacturing sector that is seeking a Supply Chain Director to lead and enhance its complete supply chain operation.
This position is a critical leadership opportunity for a commercially minded supply chain leader who can introduce structure, raise performance, and help guide the business through its next stage of expansion.
Role Summary
The Supply Chain Director will take ownership of the full supply chain function, covering planning, procurement, inventory, logistics, and coordination with other business teams.
The right person will focus on improving service levels, optimising stock, strengthening supplier results, and ensuring supply chain activity supports both operational goals and commercial priorities.
This role is best suited to someone with strong leadership skills, a practical approach, and a background in a fast-moving manufacturing setting, ideally in personal care, cosmetics, beauty, or a similar product category.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and lead the overall supply chain direction across planning, procurement, inventory, warehousing, and logistics.
- Refine processes and ways of working to improve service quality, cost control, and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with operations, manufacturing, commercial, and finance teams to ensure supply chain plans match business requirements.
- Own and improve S&OP and demand planning activities to strengthen forecast accuracy and supply reliability.
- Monitor supplier performance and shape procurement approaches that lower risk and improve dependability.
- Lead inventory planning to support both working capital objectives and customer service expectations.
- Spot opportunities for continuous improvement and put practical changes in place across the supply chain.
- Recruit, guide, and develop a strong supply chain team.
- Deliver reporting, analysis, and leadership updates on performance, risks, and business opportunities.
Candidate Requirements
- Substantial experience in a senior supply chain leadership position within a manufacturing environment.
- Broad expertise across planning, procurement, inventory, logistics, and supply chain strategy.
- Experience in personal care, beauty, cosmetics, OTC, or a related consumer manufacturing sector is preferred.
- Proven ability to lead teams and improve supply chain outcomes in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong grasp of S&OP, forecasting, supplier management, and inventory optimisation.
- A commercial mindset with the confidence to collaborate across operations and senior leadership.
- Well-developed problem-solving, leadership, and communication abilities.
