Job description

About Partly

Partly is building a global platform that connects the world’s parts, beginning with auto parts. Its goal is to help move the world toward a more sustainable future by making replacement parts easy to find, accessible, and available to everyone, while reducing waste.

The company was started by former Rocket Lab engineers and applies advanced technology to solve complex problems in a large global industry. The team has grown rapidly and includes people across Europe and Australasia. Partly also provides digital infrastructure used by major businesses and fast-growing startups around the world to catalogue and manage parts online.

Backed by investors including Blackbird Ventures, Square Peg, Octopus Ventures, Icehouse, Peter Beck, Akshay Kothari, and Dylan Field, Partly is focused on building a strong team and a high-performing culture.

Role overview

As Supplier Success Manager, NZ, you will manage the transition from signed supplier to fully live and performing member of the New Zealand Repair Network. You will report to the Director of Customer Success and work at the centre of the NZ supply team.

Your job is to make the post-sale relationship real: get suppliers onboarded, integrated, and actively listing inventory; keep them engaged; and ensure they meet the performance standards needed for repairers to find the right parts, see correct availability, and trust the network.

This is a commercial, operational, and highly hands-on position rather than a back-office account administration role. It suits someone who enjoys removing blockers, understanding how a network performs in practice, and becoming a trusted day-to-day contact for suppliers.

Key responsibilities

  • Take ownership of new supplier activation from the sales handoff through to full launch, including onboarding planning and timing.
  • Support suppliers through integration so they become live with accurate inventory, strong responsiveness, and active engagement.
  • Maintain supplier adoption by running regular check-ins, encouraging use of key features, and preventing suppliers from disengaging after go-live.
  • Monitor supplier performance using platform data and tools, including fulfilment reliability, inventory availability accuracy, response times, and instant offer coverage.
  • Identify performance issues early and drive practical fixes where suppliers are falling behind.
  • Act as the primary post-signature contact for suppliers and resolve issues end-to-end with Solutions Engineering and Product instead of simply escalating them.
  • Represent supplier feedback internally by turning needs, pain points, and insights into clear recommendations for Product, Engineering, and the commercial team.
  • Travel to suppliers across New Zealand when needed to build trust and understand their business in person.

Skills and experience

Customer-facing, relationship-led professionals are best suited to this role. You should have experience managing customers or accounts and be able to earn trust quickly as the visible face of the company.

You will need to be highly organised and comfortable managing multiple supplier relationships and onboarding plans at the same time while keeping track of details and follow-ups.

Experience working with dashboards, CRM tools, and performance data is preferred, along with the ability to turn metrics into clear next steps.

Strong communication across different audiences is also preferred, including the ability to speak credibly with suppliers, engineers, and senior leaders and adapt your message accordingly.

You should bring commercial empathy and understand how suppliers make money, what frustrates them, and how to translate those insights into internal advocacy. An ownership mindset, initiative, and comfort working autonomously in a fast-moving environment are essential.

Experience in the automotive aftermarket, marketplace businesses, or B2B SaaS is a bonus, though sharp generalists are also encouraged to apply.

Candidates who do not meet every listed requirement but believe they could excel in the role are still encouraged to apply.

Benefits

  • Fresh, healthy catered lunches are provided every workday in Auckland, Christchurch, London, and San Francisco offices, along with snacks and drinks.
  • Each team member receives an annual wellness allowance of $1,500, or the local equivalent, on a Partly-branded card for wellness-related expenses.
  • Primary caregivers receive 3 months of fully paid parental leave and a flexible return-to-work arrangement of four days on full pay for the first three months back.
  • Employees who commute to a Partly office or co-working space can choose between a paid 24/7 car park or a commute allowance.
  • The company offers newly designed offices with collaboration-friendly workspaces, good coffee, social areas, and nearby cafes.
  • Partly follows an office-first approach in cities where it has offices, with flexibility and high trust so employees can manage their schedules around life and perform at their best.
  • The team regularly celebrates together through happy hours, lunches, seasonal events, and an annual global offsite.
