Supervisor II - Food & Beverage

Role overview

This supervisory role in food and beverage is based in Doha, Qatar, and sits within the food and beverage & culinary function. The position is full-time, non-management, and is not remote. It is part of a luxury hospitality environment focused on polished guest service, operational discipline, and strong team coordination.

What you will do

• Coordinate the team so service runs smoothly and guest expectations are consistently met.
• Check staff grooming and appearance standards and correct any issues promptly.
• Handle opening and closing routines, including preparing tools and supplies, cleaning work areas and equipment, and securing doors and other areas.
• Review storage spaces for proper arrangement, cleanliness, and FIFO compliance.
• Carry out scheduled stock counts and raise requisitions for required supplies.
• Observe dining areas for seating readiness, service quality, safety, and guest comfort.
• Log and follow up on maintenance work requests and repairs.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, rota planning, performance reviews, counseling, discipline, and employee motivation.
• Act as a first point of contact for fair treatment and open-door concerns.
• Follow company safety, security, and conduct standards, including incident reporting and required safety training.
• Maintain a professional appearance, protect confidential information, and safeguard company property.
• Greet guests in line with brand standards, respond proactively to needs, support guests with disabilities, and express sincere appreciation.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests.
• Build positive working relationships and help the team work toward shared goals.
• Look for and implement practical ways to improve efficiency, quality, safety, productivity, and cost control.
• Carry out other duties assigned by supervisors.

Working conditions

• The role requires extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking during a shift.
• You should be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place items up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• The job also involves handling objects of different sizes and weights, and using fine motor coordination.
• Work may require moving through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, using stairs or service ramps, and reaching overhead or below knee level.
• Employees may need to read small print and visually inspect tools, equipment, or machinery for defects.
