Job description
About the team
In the Neurocognitive and General Psychology unit led by Radoslaw M. Cichy, the focus is on studying visual processing. A particular emphasis is placed on how vision changes across the lifespan, from early childhood through adulthood. The team uses both behavioral methods such as questionnaires and eye tracking, as well as neurocognitive techniques including EEG and fMRI. Teaching responsibilities cover General Psychology and Neurocognitive Psychology modules, including lectures and seminars. The group also contributes to academic self-administration.
Key task
- Assist with data collection involving infants and children, especially using EEG.
Additional tasks
- Support academic administration by handling email enquiries.
- Contribute to teaching activities, for example through literature research, editing texts, and preparing teaching materials, including module examinations.
What we are looking for
- Background knowledge in psychology, neuroscience, or a closely related field of study.
- German language skills at C1 level or higher and English skills at B2 level or higher.
- Basic familiarity with common software, such as word processing and presentation tools.
- Willingness to learn new programs and methods.
- Ability to work independently and organise tasks in a structured way.
