Job description
Role overview
The Global Public Sector team at Scale focuses on applying AI to high-impact government challenges across the world. Its work spans building bespoke AI applications for citizens and public servants, producing high-quality training data for custom LLMs, and delivering AI advisory and upskilling support.
As a Strategist based in Abu Dhabi, you will help grow the Global Public Sector business by working with technical and business stakeholders to identify, shape, and win major public sector opportunities across the GCC. The role involves developing and executing a go-to-market plan for customer acquisition in a fast-moving, often ambiguous environment.
This is a technical, client-facing position that requires strong AI understanding, commercial thinking, and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior government stakeholders.
What you will do
- Partner with Scale leadership, the Head of EMEA, engagement managers, account executives, and the wider EMEA strategy team to drive overall go-to-market plans across Abu Dhabi.
- Work with prospective clients to define practical AI opportunities and refine their high-level vision into actionable directions.
- Showcase the business value and measurable impact of each AI solution.
- Move opportunities through complex organizations by building relationships, addressing client questions, and helping convert interest into signed contracts.
- Act as a trusted AI advisor and maintain credibility with clients beyond day-to-day project execution.
- Prepare customer communications, manage relationships, and contribute AI analysis and thought leadership.
- Develop financial models and apply commercial judgment to support deals.
- Create pitch decks and proposals.
- Design and run AI workshops.
- Build simple demos of possible AI solutions using tools such as Replit or Lovable.
- Track and communicate the impact and business value of AI applications.
What the company is looking for
The ideal candidate will bring public sector sales or consulting experience, a strong background in Abu Dhabi, and a proven ability to sell AI-driven offerings. You should be comfortable working with both business and technical stakeholders, capable of shaping large deals, and confident creating executive-facing materials.
Fluency in Arabic, both written and spoken, is required.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in public sector sales or consulting, including a minimum of 3 years working in Abu Dhabi.
- Experience selling AI products or services.
- A history of personally shaping and closing complex public sector deals worth between $500K and $5M+.
- Proven ability to build go-to-market strategies that support growth at scale.
- Experience collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to identify challenges and develop solutions.
- Strong relationship-building skills with external partners and internal cross-functional teams at all levels.
- Experience creating, developing, and presenting executive-level materials.
- Written and spoken Arabic fluency.
Eligibility
Applicants should have relevant public sector, consulting, or sales experience, particularly within Abu Dhabi and the wider GCC region. Candidates who can work effectively across senior government and technical stakeholder groups and who have the required Arabic fluency are the best fit.
