Job description

Role overview

Perficient X is creating an AI-first consulting practice built to move quickly, solve complex client problems, and grow talent through the work itself. The model pairs seasoned experts with strong early-career engineers in compact, high-impact teams that produce measurable client results while building the next wave of AI consulting capability.

This position is for a Strategic Talent Advisor who will help define how Perficient X expands by shaping hiring decisions, talent development, and the organizational capabilities needed over time. The role is intended for someone who can connect business goals to a practical talent strategy and help the operating model grow without losing its distinctiveness.

In this role, you will act as a trusted partner to Perficient X leadership and a key architect of the talent systems, workforce planning, and growth decisions that influence how the business scales. You will collaborate with leadership, recruiting teams, pod leads, and enterprise HR to strengthen the full talent pipeline: bringing in experienced AI professionals, creating scalable pathways for early-career talent, designing development experiences that speed up readiness, and advising on organizational choices that support intentional growth. This is a chance to help shape the talent model behind a new kind of consulting business and make talent strategy a true competitive advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Perficient X leaders to build and execute a talent strategy that supports growth, pod performance, and long-term capability building.
  • Develop hiring approaches for both experienced AI practitioners and high-potential early-career candidates, emphasizing proactive sourcing and pipeline creation instead of waiting for open requisitions.
  • Design onboarding and development experiences for cohort-based early-career talent so they can contribute quickly in client-facing pod settings.
  • Guide leaders on workforce planning, team structure, performance, and readiness across both established and emerging talent groups.
  • Apply talent data and insights to assess pipeline strength, readiness, retention risk, and the effectiveness of the pod-based talent model.
  • Support culture, employer brand, and retention efforts by creating an appealing experience for both senior practitioners and early-career hires.

Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of experience in HR, talent, or people leadership, preferably in a fast-growing, technology, consulting, or AI-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit senior technical talent through proactive sourcing and relationship development.
  • Background in campus recruiting, early-career programs, or cohort-based onboarding for technical talent.
  • Capability to function as a strategic advisor, influencing workforce planning, organizational design, and leadership-level talent decisions.
  • Strong analytical judgment and comfort using data to improve talent outcomes and monitor talent health.
  • Hands-on familiarity with AI tools and a thoughtful perspective on how AI is changing technical and consulting work.
  • Executive presence and the ability to establish trust with senior leaders, experienced practitioners, and early-career employees.

Compensation and benefits

The estimated base salary range for this position is $140,000 to $170,000. Final pay depends on factors such as skills, experience, location, training, licensure, certifications, and broader business needs. The posted range applies across all US locations and has not been adjusted for state-specific differences. Candidates are not typically hired at or near the top of the range. This figure reflects base pay only and does not include benefits, equity, or variable bonus opportunities.

Full-time employees receive a competitive benefits package, including paid time off and holidays. Additional rewards and recognition programs are available, including billable bonus opportunities. The company also emphasizes work/life balance and offers a collaborative environment with strong compensation and benefits.
