Job description
About Lyra Health
Lyra Health provides science-backed mental health care to people around the world through employer partnerships and relationships with health plans and other partners. The company has supported more than 20 million people globally, delivered over 15 million mental health sessions, and published more than 35 peer-reviewed studies. Its care model has been shown to help people recover twice as quickly while driving a 26% yearly decrease in total healthcare claims costs. Lyra is also advancing access to care through Lyra Empower, an AI-enabled platform that brings together high-quality care and technology solutions in one system.
About the Role
This position sits at the center of sourcing, purchasing operations, and process modernization. You will lead the full sourcing and negotiation cycle for mid-market spend, specifically contracts valued between $25,000 and $250,000, while also overseeing day-to-day procurement activity and coordinating the rollout of Lyra’s digital intake-to-pay infrastructure. The role is well suited to someone who enjoys both complex negotiation work and operational improvement.
Key Responsibilities
You will manage strategic sourcing, procurement workflows, and systems transformation across several workstreams.
- Own the complete sourcing and negotiation process for contracts in the $25,000 to $250,000 range, with a strong focus on SaaS, technology, and professional services.
- Create sourcing approaches that improve vendor choice, strengthen commercial position, and safeguard margin.
- Lead the project management effort for the intake-to-pay platform rollout, working closely with IT, Legal, and Finance to support a smooth implementation.
- Administer and continuously improve procurement and fintech tools such as Navan and Brex.
- Use Excel at an advanced level to evaluate large datasets, spot spending patterns, identify renewals early, and reduce off-contract spending.
- Clean, organize, and structure spending information so it can be used effectively in the annual zero-based budgeting process.
- Partner with Legal, InfoSec, Privacy, AI, Tech, and FP&A teams to make sure intake requirements are automated, compliant, and operationally efficient.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will bring strong sourcing experience, technical fluency with procurement systems, and the ability to handle multiple priorities at once.
- At least 4 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement operations, or supply chain roles, preferably in a fast-growing technology or healthcare organization.
- Demonstrated success negotiating mid-level contracts across SaaS, marketing, consulting, and professional services categories.
- Practical experience with procurement or purchase-to-pay platforms and contract lifecycle management tools; having led or strongly supported a platform implementation is a major advantage.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, with the ability to convert raw spend data into clear and actionable insights.
- Strong project management and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple sourcing initiatives while coordinating a major software deployment.
- Confident communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to resolve cross-functional blockers and work effectively with suppliers.
Benefits
Lyra offers a compensation and benefits package that goes beyond base pay.
- Comprehensive healthcare coverage, including medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, life insurance, and disability insurance.
- Access to Lyra care services, including coaching and therapy.
- Equity participation through discretionary restricted stock units.
- Competitive paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, and company holidays.
- Paid parental leave.
- 401(k) plan with up to 3% company match.
- Monthly technology allowance.
- Additional well-being perks, activities, surprise swag, and community celebrations throughout the year.
