Job description

About Dreem Health, by Sunrise

Dreem Health is a U.S.-leading digital sleep clinic powered by Sunrise’s technology. It offers at-home sleep testing, virtual specialist visits, and treatment plans that are designed to be straightforward for patients to follow, helping replace long wait times and in-lab studies with care that can start from home and fit into the patient’s schedule.

About Sunrise Group

Sunrise was created to address one of healthcare’s most overlooked problems: sleep care that is slow, hard to access, and unevenly delivered. Building on research into mandibular jaw movement, the company developed a chin-based sleep test that changed how sleep disorders can be diagnosed at home. That innovation has grown into a broader sleep-health platform combining advanced diagnostic and treatment tools with home-delivered clinical care through Dreem Health across all 50 U.S. states. The team spans more than 100 clinicians, engineers, and operators across the U.S. and Europe, and the company is backed by over $50M in funding.

Role Overview

Sleep apnea impacts more than 30 million Americans, and most remain undiagnosed. Many high-risk patients move through cardiology clinics or hospital systems without ever being linked to treatment. Dreem Health is building a telehealth-first sleep medicine model that brings diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing support to patients in all 50 states. As Director, Strategic Partnerships, you will not be managing existing referral accounts. Instead, you will create new enterprise channels by developing integrated care pathways within health systems, large cardiology groups, and specialty organizations that can become major, long-term sources of patient growth. You will own the process end to end, from sourcing and deal design through negotiation, launch, and sustained activation, while reporting to the VP of Business Development & Strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Create and grow strategic alliances with health systems, integrated delivery networks, hospital networks, and complex provider groups that can generate referrals and long-term integrations.
  • Design care management programs that encourage recurring referrals and add value to enterprise partners.
  • Own strategic accounts from initial identification through launch and expansion, including account planning, stakeholder coordination, implementation support, and ongoing performance tracking.
  • Develop and execute partnership plans that support Dreem Health’s business priorities and long-range growth goals.
  • Run market reviews and partner evaluations to find, rank, and pursue high-value opportunities through Dreem Health’s channel strategy or through new partnership ideas.
  • Lead sourcing, evaluation, deal structuring, and negotiation to increase referrals and patient volume by building scalable referral pathways for sleep apnea diagnosis, treatment starts, and long-term management.
  • Work cross-functionally with Clinical Operations, Provider Partnerships, Product, Marketing, and Analytics to ensure partnerships are successfully implemented and supported.
  • Set up governance and performance management for enterprise partnerships, including KPIs, dashboards, business reviews, and growth plans.
  • Identify and address risks, dependencies, and operational issues that could affect launch, adoption, or long-term results.
  • Convert market feedback and partner input into better partnership models, commercial tools, workflow improvements, and scalable growth approaches.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in healthcare business development, strategic partnerships, or health system sales, with a record of negotiating, launching, and expanding complex healthcare collaborations.
  • Proven success building senior-level relationships within health systems, IDNs, hospital networks, and specialized provider organizations; an existing network in these channels is an advantage.
  • Strong commercial judgment with the ability to evaluate opportunities against broader company strategy, plus experience working with digital health platforms and modern healthcare delivery models.
  • Solid understanding of the healthcare environment, including reimbursement, regulation, and competition; experience in sleep medicine or related fields such as cardiology, pulmonology, or metabolic health is preferred.
  • Ability to speak with physician leaders and clinical champions about outcomes, not just contract terms; knowledge of how sleep disorders affect cardiovascular and metabolic outcomes is a strong plus.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, resource-light environment where you build processes from the ground up, close deals with limited support, and adapt quickly when priorities shift.
  • Strong interest in sleep health and expanding access to care.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or an advanced clinical degree is an added advantage.

Perks and Benefits

  • Work that has a direct and meaningful impact on people’s lives.
  • Opportunity to join an international team spanning the U.S., France, and Belgium.
  • Annual team offsite.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Free One Medical membership.
  • 401(k) plan with company match.
  • 20 days of PTO, 10 paid holidays, and 80 hours of paid sick leave.
  • Monthly reimbursement/stipend for phone and internet expenses.

Compensation

The base salary range is $140,000 to $160,000 per year, depending on experience. The total on-target earnings include an annual bonus opportunity in addition to base pay.

Core Values

Sunrise Group emphasizes clarity and simplicity, trust and collaboration, and a culture of optimism and compassion.

Equal Opportunity
