Store Manager Role Overview

The Store Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily store operations, ensuring compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and maintaining the visual appearance and safety of the store. The role demands effective management of inventory, cash handling, and KPI reporting to achieve operational excellence and profitability.

Core Responsibilities

  • Ensure store operations align with defined SOPs, maintaining store look and feel as per company guidelines.
  • Manage cash handling processes to prevent losses and maintain security and safety standards.
  • Execute visual merchandising strategies following predefined plans and guidelines.
  • Oversee inventory control to avoid stock shortages or surpluses and report KPIs punctually.
  • Lead strategic initiatives such as store launch preparations and manage current store closures during renovations or conversions.
  • Drive sales targets, focusing on converting walk-in customers, generating new business, and upselling effectively.
  • Monitor store expenses ensuring alignment with budget plans and provide recommendations to optimize productivity.
  • Administer daily staff scheduling and brief outsourced store employees, managing attrition concerns and promoting staff motivation and development.
  • Implement customer experience standards, allocate staffing dynamically based on demand, and personally address challenging customer situations.
  • Continuously suggest enhancements aiming at improving both store productivity and customer satisfaction.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Experience and skills to manage store operations efficiently in alignment with SOPs.
  • Ability to handle cash securely and maintain loss prevention measures.
  • Competency in inventory management and KPI reporting.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities, including handling outsourced staff.
  • Excellent customer service skills with problem-solving aptitude for demanding situations.
