Silver Stream Healthcare Group is hiring a Staff Nurse for Leeson Park Nursing Home in Ranelagh, Dublin 6, County Dublin. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to residents, supporting their comfort, safety, and overall wellbeing. What the job involves
- Oversee the care of assigned residents during each shift and take accountability for their nursing needs.
- Support resident admissions and discharges, and manage medication administration according to established standards.
- Create individual care plans using a person-centred approach and review them with the wider multidisciplinary team as needed.
- Keep care notes and care plans up to date, accurate, and compliant with legal and organisational requirements.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, resident comfort, and day-to-day care.
- Help supervise mealtimes, support feeding needs, and carry out personal care tasks where required.
- Guide and coordinate Health Care Assistants by assigning duties and ensuring work is completed properly.
- Contribute to in-house training, emergency response, and adherence to health and safety procedures.
- Deliver evidence-based, individualised nursing care and ensure procedures are carried out safely and correctly.
- Build trusting relationships with residents so their needs are understood and met with dignity and respect.
- Apply knowledge of HIQA standards and take part in inspection processes.
Working pattern and additional notes
Shifts are rostered from Monday to Sunday and include night duty. The responsibilities listed are not exhaustive and may change depending on business needs.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate should be a registered nurse on the Irish live register (NMBI) with an active PIN. You should have strong clinical and communication skills, be comfortable using computers and common office software, and be fluent in English for both speaking and writing. Attention to detail and a strong follow-through mindset are also important. Experience with HIQA standards and the Health Act Regulations 2013 is required. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, along with around one year of nursing experience.
