An opportunity is available for a Staff Nurse to join the Children’s Service in Dublin. The position is offered as a permanent full-time role of 37.5 hours per week, a permanent part-time role of 18.75 hours per week, or a relief contract as needed.
The salary range is €38,166 to €56,592, with pay subject to relevant public sector experience and adjusted pro rata according to working hours.
Reference number: 100436.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must hold current NMBI registration, have experience working with intellectual disability, and demonstrate strong written and spoken English.
Desirable Criteria
Preference will be given to candidates with a full clean manual Irish driving licence, RNID registration, knowledge of person-centred planning and HIQA standards, strong communication and interpersonal abilities, experience helping people participate in their communities, and a holistic, person-centred approach that supports people to live well and build skills in areas of interest and learning.
Competencies
Applicants should meet Level 1 behavioural competencies under Avista’s competency framework.
Benefits
Working with Avista may include excellent career development opportunities, a comprehensive pension scheme, a supportive and innovative environment, generous annual leave, paid maternity leave, a sick pay scheme, a bike-to-work scheme, and a tax saver travel scheme.
Application Process
Candidates are asked to submit a CV and cover letter through the organisation’s careers section. Informal enquiries can be directed to Amy Byrne, CNM2.
Important Dates and Conditions
The closing date for applications is 17 July 2026, and interviews are planned for the week of 20 July 2026.
Avista may close the recruitment process early if enough applications are received. A panel may be created from which current and future permanent, temporary, full-time, and part-time vacancies across the organisation can be filled.
Avista is a public body and is subject to Freedom of Information and Data Protection requests. The organisation is also an equal opportunities employer.
