Role overview

The company is hiring a Staff Accountant for its general ledger accounting team at its Boca Raton, Florida headquarters. This is a full-time, in-office role reporting to the Senior Manager of Accounting. The position supports the month-end close cycle, maintains assigned balance sheet account schedules, investigates discrepancies, and helps with journal entries, reconciliations, reporting, and audit support. The role operates in a fast-moving environment that requires comfort with multitasking.

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will handle core accounting activities such as preparing journal entries, performing reconciliations, supporting monthly and annual close processes, and maintaining accurate in-house reporting. You will also review balance sheet accounts, analyze variances, explain results, help ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls, assist with internal and external audit requests, and contribute to special projects as assigned.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has a four-year degree in Accounting, strong proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel capability, and prior experience using enterprise accounting systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are important, along with strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, strategic problem-solving ability, and a willingness to work onsite every day. A CPA is preferred, but not mandatory.
