Job description
Role Overview
This position is for a senior sales professional responsible for driving business growth, managing customer relationships, and ensuring smooth order-to-collection operations in the assigned market cluster.
Business Development
The role involves reviewing lost orders, studying the reasons behind missed business, and identifying new customer opportunities within the cluster. You will build a ranked pipeline of market opportunities, prepare persuasive proposals and presentations for prospective clients, and focus on retail and medium-sized customers. The job also requires gathering market intelligence from customers and local influencers about pricing, incentives, discounts, and competitor activity.
Customer Management
You will regularly visit project sites to connect with site in-charges, project managers, influencers, and other agencies involved in planning and execution. The objective is to strengthen relationships and ensure coordination that supports smooth business operations.
Order Planning and Scheduling
The role includes sharing new customer information with the customer service delivery team, supporting the creation of SAP customer codes, and ensuring customer master data is entered correctly in SAP before the first dispatch.
Payment Receivables
You will be accountable for managing outstanding dues, including default cases, cheque bounce issues, and any related legal matters. The position requires making sure invoices and credit/debit notes are delivered on time, tracking daily sales and collection by customer, and closely monitoring overdue accounts to prioritize recovery efforts.
Pricing and Sales Targets
The candidate must work within the pricing structure defined in the SOP and ensure closure of sales targets and KPIs assigned to the role.
