Job description

About AIM Therapy for Children

AIM Therapy for Children is a fast-growing allied health team focused on making therapy engaging, practical and centred around families. The organisation works from purpose-built clinics in Balcatta, Joondalup, Canning Vale and Jindalee, and provides therapy in clinics, homes and schools. The broader team includes occupational therapists, speech pathologists, physiotherapists, psychologists, positive behaviour support staff and administrative support.

Role Overview

This opportunity is designed for a newly graduated or nearly graduated speech pathologist who wants strong support during the transition into professional practice. The clinic places a high value on structured supervision, practical mentoring, discipline-specific guidance and steady encouragement, so you can build confidence at a pace that suits you while doing meaningful work with children and their families. The available position is based at the Canning Vale clinic.

What You Will Do

  • Carry out first appointments and build rapport with new families.
  • Deliver engaging and creative therapy sessions in clinic settings and in the community.
  • Work alongside schools, families and other key stakeholders to support a coordinated plan for each child.
  • Review progress across therapy plans and determine the next steps when goals are achieved or a child transitions out of services.
  • Take part in a strong professional development pathway with regular opportunities to continue learning.

Working Environment

You will be part of a welcoming, experienced multidisciplinary group and work in well-equipped therapy spaces designed to support play, sensory needs and engagement. The role gives you the chance to make therapy enjoyable and effective while seeing the real impact of your work on children and families.

What the Team Values

  • Purpose-built therapy rooms that encourage creativity and active participation.
  • Ability to work across clinic and community settings.
  • A gradual increase in caseload so you can settle in confidently.
  • Support from experienced clinical leaders who are available when needed.
  • Rooms fitted with sensory and play resources such as trampolines, swings, toys and specialist equipment.
  • Access to a wide range of assessment tools and professional resources.
  • Administrative support that manages bookings and invoicing, allowing you to focus on client care.

Why Clinicians Choose This Role

  • Flexible work arrangements that can support family life and commitments outside work.
  • A competitive salary package with performance bonuses and travel reimbursement.
  • Company laptop and smartphone provided.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • Salary packaging and novated leasing options.
  • Employee Assistance Program support.
  • Clear development pathways toward senior and leadership roles.
  • Twice-yearly goal setting and career planning discussions.
  • $1,000 annual external professional development allowance plus paid professional development leave.

About You

You should be a newly qualified or soon-to-graduate speech pathologist who enjoys working with children and families, communicates clearly, and wants to contribute in a caring and meaningful way. A current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle are required.

Additional Information

The organisation promotes an inclusive workplace and welcomes people from diverse backgrounds, including people with disability and mental health conditions, people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities, LGBTQI community members, veterans, carers and Indigenous Australians. Recruitment adjustments can be made to support accessibility needs.
