Role overview
This is a full-time, on-site Speech and Language Therapist position at Queensmead House School in Windsor. The school is an independent specialist day school that provides high-quality education for pupils with complex educational needs, communication difficulties, and challenging behaviour.
You will be part of a wider multi-disciplinary clinical service that supports specialist schools and children’s homes. The young people you work with may have developmental trauma, neurodevelopmental conditions, and a range of special educational needs. Your input will help create therapeutic living and learning environments through assessment-led, individualised intervention.
What the role involves
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team supporting both educational and residential colleagues.
- Use clinical assessment and formulation to design tailored interventions for children and young people.
- Support the creation of therapeutic environments that promote learning, engagement, and wellbeing.
- Contribute specialist knowledge to teams around the child or young person.
- Act as a confident model, guide, leader, and trainer for colleagues.

The salary range for this role is £43,242 to £51,209, with paid school holidays included in the package, alongside a strong benefits offering.

Candidate profile
The organisation is looking for a qualified Speech and Language Therapist who is HCPC registered and experienced in working with children and young people with complex needs.
You should be organised, proactive, and able to support teams so that pupils receive clinically informed living and learning experiences. Strong communication, leadership, and training skills are important, along with a clear commitment to improving outcomes for young people.
