Arup is a purpose-led organisation that has spent more than 75 years using curiosity, creativity, and teamwork to tackle difficult challenges and create better outcomes for clients and communities. The company’s collaborative culture and shared values shape how it works and the impact it aims to deliver.
Role overview
Arup’s Marketing, Communications, and Business Development (MCBD) team helps protect and strengthen the firm’s reputation, develop stronger client relationships, secure quality projects, and attract great talent. The team is looking for a Pursuits and Bids Specialist to support strategic market and client priorities within the MCBD function. This is a fixed-term position for 12 months.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with tender and bid workflows, including planning, compliance review, document preparation, and coordination across internal stakeholders.
- Create and manage content for bids, pitch decks, and tailored client proposals.
- Research markets, clients, and opportunities, and help shape win themes, strategy, and positioning.
- Maintain CRM accuracy, keep records reliable, and refresh bid tools, resources, and templates.
- Use best-practice pursuit tools and work with knowledge teams to improve bidding effectiveness across the business.
Candidate profile
The role suits someone with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, such as Marketing, and around 3–5 years of experience in pursuits and bids within the AEC sector or a comparable environment. You should have worked with high-performing pursuit teams, understand the full bid lifecycle at country or office level, and be familiar with AEC procurement and bidding methods. The position also requires close collaboration with technical specialists and wider marketing, communications, and business development teams to keep proposal and qualification material consistent and high quality.
