Our client is a prominent global provider of procurement, sourcing, and supply chain services serving various industries. They are looking to expand their team with a Sourcing Specialist focused on enhancing sourcing excellence, supplier efficiency, and overall operational effectiveness.

Role Overview

This role offers a dynamic opportunity for a seasoned sourcing or procurement professional to manage strategic sourcing initiatives across several business units. Responsibilities include analyzing sourcing expenses, refining procurement workflows, supporting inventory and capacity planning, and collaborating with stakeholders to secure favorable commercial and operational results.

Core Responsibilities

  • Evaluate sourcing costs to find efficiencies and reduce expenditure.
  • Propose and apply enhancements to sourcing procedures and operational practices.
  • Support inventory management to ensure product availability.
  • Optimize capacity utilization via effective planning methods.
  • Forecast and plan supply chain metrics aligned with organizational goals.
  • Ensure promotion allocation is accurate and consistent with sourcing approaches.
  • Work closely with internal teams and suppliers to overcome sourcing and supply chain obstacles.
  • Participate in ongoing continuous improvement initiatives within procurement and sourcing areas.

Candidate Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, category management, or supply chain roles.
  • Familiarity with supporting sourcing activities, engaging suppliers, and driving commercial outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret supply chain data effectively.
  • Excellent skills in stakeholder communication and engagement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Commerce, or relevant fields.

Preferred Additional Experience

  • Experience creating category management strategies.
  • Knowledge of global strategic direct sourcing.
  • Experience with supplier relationship management.
  • Skills in contract negotiation.
  • Expertise in market analysis.
