Job description

About the company

Quince was established in 2018 with a straightforward idea: premium products should not come with inflated prices. The company aims to deliver high-quality essentials at accessible prices by combining fair and sustainable production with a direct-to-consumer model that removes intermediaries and uses just-in-time manufacturing to reduce waste and increase value.

Quince operates as a technology-driven retail business, using AI, analytics, and automation across its operations. Its work is guided by a set of core principles centered on customer focus, product quality, timeless design, value, and social and environmental responsibility. The company works with leading manufacturers worldwide and serves millions of customers while continuing to scale with investor support and a strong emphasis on quality, simplicity, and transparent pricing.

Team and mission

You will join a high-performance organization that is redefining how customers think about value, quality, and sustainability in retail. The team is made up of builders, innovators, and operators who are working to create a new category of customer experience that makes luxury-level quality more attainable. The environment is suited to people who are driven by meaningful impact, growth, and purpose.

Role overview

Quince is looking for a strategic and entrepreneurial Sourcing Manager to establish and lead its soft home sourcing function across Europe. This will be the company’s first hire in the region, with responsibility for identifying, evaluating, and onboarding vendor partners from the ground up. The initial focus is on cotton bedding, kids’ bedding, and window coverings, with the possibility of expanding into towels, table linens, and kitchen textiles.

This is a greenfield opportunity to create and scale a sourcing operation in a category with significant business impact. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in home textile manufacturing, the ability to build reliable supplier partnerships, and the operational discipline needed to scale supply chains that meet cost, quality, and lead-time goals.

Key responsibilities

Vendor development and management

  • Source, evaluate, and bring on board compliant, high-quality vendor partners across Europe.
  • Create supplier scorecards and performance metrics to track and improve partner delivery.
  • Handle commercial negotiations covering minimum order quantities, pricing, capacity planning, and lead times.
  • Develop trusted relationships with factory owners and production leaders.
  • Act as the local representative of Quince, communicating the company’s brand and values to partners.

Sourcing strategy and category growth

  • Design and implement a long-term sourcing plan for vendors and materials in the EU region.
  • Identify unmet needs and opportunities across product categories and regional manufacturing strengths.
  • Support sourcing initiatives for additional soft home categories such as towels, table linens, and kitchen textiles when required.

Cross-functional partnership

  • Work closely with teams in planning, design, production, quality assurance, and merchandising to keep execution aligned.
  • Provide timely, clear updates on project progress, risks, and supplier performance.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in sourcing, product development, or supply chain functions within home textiles such as bedding, drapery, or towels.
  • Strong knowledge of textile manufacturing, including weaving and finishing processes, costing, testing, and broader home goods production workflows.
  • A well-established network of soft home vendors in Europe.
  • Demonstrated experience managing product development timelines, negotiating costs, and onboarding factories.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Textiles, or a related discipline.

Why join Quince
