Role overview
This opportunity is for a Sourcing Lead focused on new product introduction work for a US-based product company’s MNC client in Gurgaon. The role sits within a strategic sourcing environment and supports product development, supplier negotiations, and supply chain risk management.
Location and joining expectations
The position is based in Phase-1 of the IT/ITES SEZ, International Techpark (ITPG), Gurgaon. Candidates must be able to join immediately to within 30 days at the maximum. Only applicants who can attend face-to-face interviews on weekdays in the Gurgaon office should apply.
Key responsibilities
- Keep project teams aligned with the overall direction of global sourcing.
- Handle negotiations and finalization of agreements such as NDAs, SOWs, and development contracts that support R&D work.
- Run RFQ activities and manage business award decisions.
- Carry out structured supply chain risk assessments and design mitigation plans.
- Drive supplier cost-down efforts, including reduction of NRE and ongoing savings initiatives throughout the product lifecycle.
- Take ownership of supplier-related workstreams for projects when required.
Qualifications and experience
A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management is required. The ideal candidate should have 7 years of experience in engineering or supply chain management supporting new product introductions. Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or other tightly regulated industries is strongly preferred.
Skills and capabilities
The role calls for strong influencing and negotiation skills, the ability to secure favorable pricing and contract terms, and the confidence to collaborate across all levels of the organization. Candidates should also be able to interpret engineering drawings, identify risks, and create practical contingency plans.
