Sonographer

Role overview

The sonographer will deliver imaging services to patients in line with physician requests, applicable statutory rules, and accepted professional standards. The role supports the smooth functioning of the diagnostic centre while maintaining patient care quality and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out imaging procedures for patients based on referring physicians’ requests and within the scope permitted by regulations and professional standards.
• Oversee quality control activities and make sure equipment and accessories are properly maintained.
• Perform routine radiographic examinations and/or specialize in at least one area such as mammography or ultrasound.
• Work with colleagues across departments to support uninterrupted and high-quality patient care.
• Follow the radiology safety policy and ensure all safety requirements are observed.
• Coordinate with the system administrator so that studies are correctly transmitted and archived in the system.
• Maintain cleanliness and general housekeeping of the assigned diagnostic centre.
• Provide timely, polite, and professional service to both internal teams and external customers.
• Help keep the assigned area operating efficiently and without disruption.
• Support the Radiographer-In-Charge, Senior/Principal Sonographer, or Radiographer in carrying out quality control procedures carefully and consistently.

Requirements

• Applicants should have at least 2 to 3 years of experience as a Radiographer or Sonographer in Singapore.
• A relevant educational background in Sonography or Radiography is required.
