Job description
Role overview
This is a permanent full-time social work position based across the Gisborne and Wairoa sites. The role sits within a newly designed, modern team in Tairāwhiti and focuses on improving outcomes for tamariki, rangatahi, and their whānau. The work is fast-moving and requires collaboration with other social service providers, agencies, and community organisations to help make sure children and young people are safe, strong, and able to thrive.
The organisation is committed to placing children at the centre of its work and partnering with hapū, iwi, and Māori organisations to identify the right support for tamariki who need it. Its values include putting children first, showing care and respect, acting with integrity, valuing whakapapa, and recognising wellbeing as an ongoing journey.

Requirements
- Current full registration with the New Zealand Social Work Registration Board, along with a practising certificate, or the ability to register; this is mandatory.
- Valid full New Zealand driver licence with a clean record.
