Role summary
Pirq is seeking a creative, strategic, and highly practical Social Media Manager to own its organic social presence from end to end. This person will guide content strategy, produce original assets, engage the community, and help build a loyal audience that connects with the brand’s story and products.
What you’ll do
- Concept, script, film, edit, and publish short-form video and photo content for Instagram, TikTok, and other relevant channels.
- Manage the editorial calendar and keep a steady stream of polished, on-brand posts going live.
- Develop and refine content series such as product spotlights, recipe ideas, founder-led storytelling, and trend-based posts.
- Create attention-grabbing hooks, captions, text overlays, transitions, pacing, and edits aimed at improving retention, watch time, saves, and shares.
- Collect content during live brand events, retail activations, and community moments, then turn those real-world experiences into social-ready material.
- Help shape the brand’s voice online by contributing ideas and creative direction, not just executing assigned tasks.
- Set and evolve platform-specific content pillars and organic social strategies.
- Track trends, platform changes, native editing styles, cultural moments, memes, creator behavior, and audience habits to keep content relevant.
- Proactively suggest new concepts, recurring series, collaborations, and other creative opportunities.
- Review analytics to identify what performs well and use those insights to improve future content.
- Work with the wider team on campaign launches, product releases, and major brand announcements.
- Monitor comments, direct messages, tags, and mentions across platforms, and respond in a way that builds authentic community relationships.
- Support influencer and creator seeding efforts to increase awareness and encourage user-generated content.
- Measure and report key performance metrics such as reach, engagement, follower growth, and content effectiveness.
- Experiment with hooks, formats, video length, captions, posting times, and creative styles to strengthen results.
- Maintain a structured content archive, posting plan, and library of creative assets.
- Share actionable insights and recommendations with internal stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Coordinate with marketing, design, sales, events, and leadership so social content supports larger business goals.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in social media management, content creation, or a similar position.
- Practical experience creating content in CapCut and the Reels editor, plus native posting across platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of Instagram and TikTok, including formats, trends, editing styles, and algorithm behavior.
- Comfort using social analytics tools such as Sprout Social, Later, and built-in platform insights.
- Clear written communication skills and a strong sense of brand voice.
- Excellent organization skills with the ability to juggle a content calendar and multiple workstreams at once.
- Confidence filming in public and comfort appearing both on camera and behind it.
- A self-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and contribute ideas without being prompted.
- Genuine interest in wellness, food and beverage, and consumer brands.

Bonus experience
- Background working with CPG, beverage, wellness, fitness, or lifestyle brands.
- Ability to take strong photography for product and lifestyle imagery.
- Experience producing content for retail launches, in-store activations, or live events.
- Basic graphic design capability, including comfort using Canva for simple assets.
- Strong instincts for copywriting, especially for captions and hooks.
- Understanding of SEO and hashtag strategy for TikTok and Instagram discoverability.

Compensation
The role offers a base salary of $80,000 to $90,000, plus bonus eligibility. Final base pay may differ depending on market conditions, relevant experience, portfolio quality, skills, and qualifications assessed during hiring.
