Role Overview
The Social Media Manager position at EasyPOS is a full-time, on-site role in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The role focuses on planning, producing, and publishing content across social platforms to build brand visibility, connect with audiences, and generate interest in EasyPOS offerings. The work involves managing content calendars, drafting social copy, coordinating visual assets, tracking comments and direct messages, and refining campaigns to improve results. The role also includes analyzing performance data, preparing reports, and working closely with marketing and product teams to keep social efforts aligned with wider business objectives. Staying up to date with platform trends and current best practices is an important part of strengthening the company’s online presence.
Responsibilities
- Plan, create, and publish content for social media channels.
- Maintain and update social media calendars.
- Write engaging, on-brand posts for different platforms.
- Coordinate with designers or content creators for supporting visuals.
- Monitor audience comments and messages and respond appropriately.
- Review campaign performance and make improvements based on results.
- Analyze social media metrics and prepare regular reports.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams on shared goals.
- Track emerging social media trends and apply relevant best practices.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of social media marketing and social media optimization.
- Ability to build and execute platform-specific content strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with social media management and analytics tools such as Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, or Buffer is an advantage.
- Educational background in marketing, communications, or a related area, or equivalent practical experience.
- Comfort working with cross-functional teams and handling several campaigns at the same time.
- Basic understanding of design principles and familiarity with creative tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus.
- Interest in technology or SaaS products, especially POS or business management solutions, is beneficial.
