Role overview
The Concept Agency is seeking a Social Media Coordinator & Content Creator to strengthen its marketing team. This role is ideal for someone who blends creative direction with strategic thinking and enjoys producing engaging social content that supports client goals.
The position is remote, but it is limited to candidates who are based in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Regular travel to client sites is required for in-person shoots, on-location filming, and site visits.
Core responsibilities
You will help shape social media strategy, create platform-ready content, manage client-facing shoot days, and track campaign performance. The work includes both planning and hands-on production.
Social media strategy and execution
- Build and carry out social media plans that support each client’s objectives.
- Keep current with trends, platform updates, and best practices to guide campaign direction.
- Work with clients and internal teammates to identify target audiences and create content that connects with them.
Content creation and on-location production
- Produce polished social assets such as graphics, short-form videos, Reels, and posts using tools like Canva, CapCut, and similar software.
- Develop ideas for client shoots and direct them in person to turn concepts into finished content.
- Organize and run on-site content shoots, including photography, video capture, and behind-the-scenes footage.
- Film content on location and edit it into final versions ready for publishing.
- Ensure all creative output reflects the brand voice while maintaining a professional and engaging style.
Client and community engagement
- Act as the on-site contact during in-person shoots and help keep client interactions organized, professional, and efficient.
- Track audience activity across social channels and reply to comments and messages to encourage engagement and brand loyalty.
Performance tracking
- Review social media data to evaluate how campaigns are performing.
- Prepare reports that summarize results and include practical recommendations for improvement.
What we’re looking for
We are looking for a candidate with at least 2 years of relevant experience, strong design sense, and hands-on content production ability. The ideal person is comfortable balancing creativity, coordination, and client communication in a fast-moving environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in social media coordination, content creation, or a closely related role.
- Strong working knowledge of Canva, with an eye for visual consistency and brand identity.
- Ability to shoot social media photo and video content, including Reels editing in CapCut or a similar tool.
- Confidence in planning, directing, and managing shoots while working directly with clients in person.
- Good understanding of major social platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok, along with their content best practices.
- Strong organization and time management skills for handling multiple projects at once.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A mix of creative thinking and strategic judgment to produce content that supports engagement and client goals.
- Must live in the GTA and be able to travel to client locations when needed.
- Experience with scheduling tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social would be an advantage.
Why join us
- Collaborative and encouraging team culture.
- Flexible remote working arrangement.
- Opportunity to work with a variety of exciting brands across different industries.
- Room for professional learning and career growth.
Additional notes
