This role is part of TMZ, which operates within FOX Entertainment’s broader portfolio of media and entertainment businesses. FOX Entertainment has spent more than 35 years building a widely recognized media presence and, since its 2019 re-launch, has expanded through a mix of broadcast television, streaming, animation, unscripted content, scripted development, global content sales, and other owned brands and studios.

Role summary

TMZ is seeking a driven Social Media Coordinator to support the execution of its social strategy, create and schedule content, and manage distribution across social channels. The goal is to strengthen brand visibility, grow audience engagement, and increase traffic to TMZ’s digital properties and social pages. The person in this role should be genuinely interested in celebrity news, comfortable keeping the conversation active around the clock, and able to work closely with internal teams to maintain a consistent brand voice across platforms.

This is a Los Angeles, CA-based onsite position. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and able to thrive in a demanding, fast-moving environment with varied personalities and live media pressure.

Key responsibilities

  • Run the day-to-day publishing and management of TMZ-branded accounts across Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and other social or user-generated channels.
  • Partner with the Director of Social Media to build and roll out social initiatives across TMZ’s website, TV broadcast, live webcast, tours, and podcasts to boost awareness, tune-in, and web traffic.
  • Create content plans spanning daily, weekly, campaign-based, and longer-term timelines.
  • Draft social copy that matches the TMZ tone while following SEO-oriented writing practices.
  • Produce strong visual assets for social use, including graphics, photos, and short-form video.
  • Track platform trends, tools, apps, and benchmarks used to evaluate social media performance.
  • Set up recurring reports and performance reviews to measure audience growth and campaign impact, including qualitative observations that can inform future strategy.
  • Represent TMZ positively in social spaces by participating in relevant conversations with the audience when appropriate.
  • Work with research and analytics teams to review results, recommend improvements, and share best practices with leadership and internal stakeholders.

Candidate profile

Applicants should bring hands-on social media management experience in a website or media environment, strong platform knowledge, and the ability to communicate clearly in both writing and speech. Success in the role also requires confidence, collaboration, technical curiosity, and the ability to work quickly without losing quality.

The stated pay range for this position is $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, with the final offer depending on education, skills, experience, and location. Benefits may include medical, dental, and vision coverage, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits according to applicable plan documents. Union-represented employees will receive benefits under the relevant collective bargaining agreement.
