Job description
Role overview
Aella Creative Force is a branding and digital agency headquartered in Westport, Ireland, working with clients across Ireland, the UK, and other EU markets. The agency partners with growth-focused brands through strategy, creative work, and performance marketing designed to deliver measurable results.
The team is hiring a Social Media & Content Creator based in County Mayo who can visit clients in person, capture genuine on-site content, and turn it into high-performing reels, posts, and campaign assets for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
This is not a desk-only scheduling role. The work involves travelling, filming, editing, and shaping content that performs organically and also supports paid campaigns. A strong understanding of short-form video, audience growth, and repeatable viral formats is important.
Content creation
- Plan and carry out on-location shoots at client sites throughout County Mayo, covering photo, video, and short-form content needs.
- Create polished Instagram Reels, Stories, carousels, Facebook posts, and TikTok videos that match each client’s brand and audience.
- Edit and finish content to a professional standard using CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar software.
- Craft captions, hooks, and calls to action that feel native to each platform and are designed to drive engagement or response.
- Build and maintain monthly content calendars for several client accounts across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
Social media management and growth
- Handle client social accounts with a growth-focused approach rather than simply publishing posts.
- Track key metrics such as reach, engagement rate, follower growth, saves, and shares, then use those insights to shape future content.
- Keep up with algorithm updates, trending formats, and current best practices on Instagram and TikTok.
- Work alongside the paid media team so that organic content supports performance campaigns and can be used across both channels.
- Prepare monthly performance updates for each client account that are clear, accurate, and action-oriented.
Requirements
- A portfolio showing content you have created, including real examples and measurable results.
- Confidence in producing short-form video from filming through editing and storytelling for Instagram Reels and TikTok.
- Practical knowledge of Instagram and Facebook growth, including how algorithms influence reach and audience building.
- Ability to work independently on location and capture strong content without step-by-step direction, using a phone or camera.
- Willingness to travel regularly to client locations across County Mayo.
- Strong written English for captions, briefs, and day-to-day client communication.
- Current residence in or near County Mayo, Ireland.
- Professional experience managing social media for businesses or brands.
- Familiarity with Meta Business Suite or scheduling platforms such as Later, Buffer, or Metricool.
- Basic design ability in Canva or Adobe tools.
- Understanding of how organic content contributes to paid social campaigns.
- Comfort using AI tools as part of daily work.
Benefits
- A supportive team that values creative judgment and gives room for strong ideas.
- Flexibility in organising your week, backed by clear briefs and a defined strategy for each account.
- An outcomes-driven role where value delivered matters more than hours logged.
- Real responsibility for managing clients and contributing directly to their growth.
- A creative freelance-style role with plenty of variety from week to week.
- The chance to build a strong portfolio with both local and national brands.
- Direct collaboration with the founders.
- Remote-first working setup.
- Birthday leave.
- A five-day working week.
Eligibility
Applications are welcome from people with a variety of backgrounds. Formal education is not the only route into this role; experience gained through study, freelance work, personal projects, or managing your own accounts will all be considered, provided you can demonstrate content that performs.
Application materials
Applicants should submit a CV along with links to their strongest content, including Instagram, TikTok, reels, and accounts they have grown, together with the performance numbers where available.
