Social Media Content Creator

Overview

RUN Studios and a major online retail partner based in Seattle are hiring a highly motivated Content Creator to lead and deliver social media content across multiple product and campaign categories. This is a 3-month contract role with a remote work setup.

Although the role is remote, candidates must currently live in one of these states: CA, CO, FL, ID, MI, NJ, NY, OR, TX, or WA.

The ideal person is deeply immersed in social media, understands current trends, and knows how to create social-first videos and still images that perform well. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support key initiatives and events, and your work will be measured by outcomes such as follower growth, impressions, traffic, engagement rate, and revenue.

Success in this role requires strong ownership, clear communication, the ability to solve problems quickly, and comfort handling several workstreams at once in a fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous environment.

Key Work

• Create TikTok, Instagram, and Pinterest content, including short-form videos and still visuals, featuring popular or high-interest products.
• Develop video concepts, film original footage on a mobile device, and edit content either inside or outside the TikTok and Instagram apps.
• Support creative planning by brainstorming content ideas with social teams, incorporating trends and pop culture to boost engagement.
• Work with stakeholders to make sure content reflects the brand and meets campaign goals.
• Stay current on evolving social media formats, trends, and ad styles.
• Share concepts, finished creative, and insights during stakeholder reviews.

Required Experience and Skills

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in content production.
• A portfolio showing social media content work.
• Hands-on experience creating and editing multimedia content, including turning existing video into social-first assets.
• Strong fluency in social media culture, including current trends, pop culture, and platform best practices.
• An eye for visual styling, including design, staging, and props for interiors, fashion, and beauty content.
• Comfort using Adobe tools, Canva, and similar design or editing software.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Additional Position Details

There are no supervisory duties for this role.

Work involves extended periods of sitting and computer use.

The environment is typically an office setting or home office environment, and the role is remote.

No travel is required.

Compensation

Pay is listed at $45.00 to $50.00 per hour, with final pay depending on qualifications and work location.
