About See's Candies
See's Candies has been serving customers since 1921 and is known for its commitment to quality and customer care. With more than 250 retail locations across the United States, a growing online business, and expanding international opportunities, the company is looking for energetic people who want to help drive its next stage of growth.
Role Overview
This position calls for a highly imaginative creator who understands social platforms from the inside out. The role centers on planning and producing trend-led, product-focused content for social channels, with an emphasis on short-form video for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Pinterest.
The successful candidate will help shape the brand’s digital presence by making content that feels genuine, timely, and native to each platform. The work involves spotting emerging trends early, turning them into compelling brand stories, and consistently creating content that strengthens engagement, community expansion, and brand affinity.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable both creating content and appearing in it, and who can move from idea to filming to editing quickly in a fast-paced environment.
The expected base salary at the start of employment is $75,000 to $90,000 per year, with final pay depending on factors such as location, relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead social-first content creation for TikTok, Instagram, and Pinterest.
- Plan, shoot, and edit short-form video content on an ongoing basis.
- Build platform-specific content that reflects the brand voice and current trends.
- Spot new trends, formats, and cultural moments and respond to them quickly.
- Manage weekly batch production to keep a steady content flow.
- Handle daily social channel activity, including posting, scheduling, and publishing.
- Monitor audience interactions and participate in comment and message engagement.
- Keep publishing consistent to maintain and grow an active presence.
- Organize digital assets and maintain content libraries.
- Capture behind-the-scenes and social-first content during shoots, events, and campaigns.
- Appear on camera or serve as the face of the brand when appropriate.
- Work closely with marketing, creative, and other teams to align content with campaign priorities and major brand moments.
- Ensure messaging stays cohesive across channels.
- Review content and social performance data to guide creative decisions.
- Share insights and recommendations based on engagement patterns and analytics.
- Refine content continuously according to platform behavior and algorithm changes.
- Support monthly and seasonal campaign reporting.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in content creation, social media, or short-form video production.
- Strong familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, and wider social media trends.
- Demonstrated ability to create short-form videos from concept through final delivery.
- Strong narrative instincts and a social-first approach that keeps the audience in mind.
- Comfort using mobile editing and social publishing tools such as CapCut and Canva.
- Confidence appearing on camera and representing a brand publicly.
- Strong visual judgment for framing, pacing, and attention-grabbing hooks.
- Excellent organization and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and projects.
- Ability to work rapidly and adapt in a trend-driven, fast-changing environment.
- Willingness to travel for shoots, events, and brand activations as needed.
Success Metrics
