This position is central to defining the online personality and visibility of the hotel portfolio. The successful candidate will plan and deliver social media activity that strengthens brand awareness, increases guest interaction, and supports commercial results. The job spans several hotel brands and platforms, and involves content production, influencer coordination, and performance reporting against monthly targets and revenue objectives.
The role is practical, fast-moving, and highly collaborative. You will work closely with the marketing team, digital account managers, brand and communications managers, and business analysts to ensure every social media output fits the wider marketing direction and helps drive business growth.
Content Creation and Channel Management
- Build and roll out content plans for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and new platforms to support both brand and commercial goals.
- Create strong visual content such as short videos, reels, stories, and photography that encourages engagement and conversions.
- Keep content schedules aligned with hotel campaigns, seasonal offers, and group-wide marketing activity.
- Adapt content for each platform so it performs well organically and supports paid promotion.
- Work with hotel teams to capture timely content and share local stories that connect with the intended audience.
Brand Storytelling and Community Engagement
- Develop genuine stories that express the distinct identity of each hotel and appeal to target audiences.
- Showcase core themes including guest experiences, food and beverage, weddings, events, and local culture.
- Grow the community by replying to comments, messages, and guest interactions in a prompt and on-brand way.
- Encourage and reuse user-generated content to broaden reach and strengthen guest advocacy.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with different teams so social content supports wider marketing campaigns, sales activity, and revenue objectives.
- Contribute to integrated campaigns across email, PR, websites, and paid media.
- Assist with influencer marketing activities, including identifying creators, briefing them, and tracking outcomes.
- Provide creative support for hotel-specific activity in weddings, events, and food and beverage.
Performance Tracking and Commercial Focus
- Track and report on key social metrics such as engagement, reach, CTR, conversion rate, and ROI.
- Prepare monthly performance dashboards with insights and practical suggestions for improvement.
- Shape content plans around commercial targets and keep refining them based on analytics and business feedback.
- Stay updated on platform changes, algorithm updates, and new trends to maintain a competitive edge.
Skills and Attributes
- Strong creative ability in photography, videography, and editing, with an understanding of commercial impact.
- Confidence using design and editing tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar software.
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills with an emphasis on branding and performance.
- Good organisation skills and the ability to manage several hotel accounts and content streams at once.
- A commercially minded approach with an understanding of how social media contributes to business results.
- Interest in hospitality, lifestyle content, and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Experience running paid social campaigns or digital advertising would be an advantage.
Experience and Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, or a related subject is preferred.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in social media, content creation, or digital marketing, ideally in hospitality, travel, or lifestyle.
- Demonstrated success in growing and engaging audiences across multiple platforms with measurable outcomes.
- A strong portfolio showing social content, campaign work, and performance impact.
Working Pattern
