Role summary
Woodie’s is looking for a creative and commercially aware Content Creation Executive to strengthen the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of its social and digital presence. The position is centred on creating engaging, social-first content that showcases the brand’s stores, products, and people in a compelling way.
The ideal candidate will bring strong video production and editing skills, along with confidence to appear on camera when needed. In this fast-moving retail setting, the role will contribute directly to brand growth, audience interaction, and commercial results.
Key responsibilities
Content creation and production
- Create polished, social-first video content from Woodie’s stores and other locations.
- Shoot and edit both short-form and longer-form videos for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Meta platforms.
- Produce content that features products, seasonal activity, in-store moments, and stories led by colleagues.
- Shape content to suit each platform’s best practices and audience expectations.
- Help deliver photography and still-image content when needed.
- Support major seasonal campaigns such as Spring, Summer, Back to School, Halloween, and Christmas.
On-camera content and creative delivery
- Present confidently on camera for product features, how-to content, walkthroughs, and branded pieces.
- Provide voiceovers and help drive storytelling across different content formats.
- Lead and assist content shoots to ensure strong quality and smooth execution.
- Speak with colleagues, customers, and suppliers to capture genuine brand-led stories.
- Deliver content in a natural, engaging style that stays true to brand standards.
Social media awareness and trend response
- Keep up with new trends, platform changes, and emerging content styles.
- Spot opportunities to adapt trends in ways that are brand-appropriate and commercially useful.
- Bring forward creative ideas supported by insights and performance results.
- Review competitor activity to identify ways the brand can stand out.
- Understand what drives strong performance across social channels.
Planning and execution support
- Help deliver the social and digital content schedule.
- Assist with organising, planning, and carrying out content shoots.
- Maintain strong file organisation, content structure, and workflow discipline.
- Support scheduling and community engagement tasks when required.
- Use reporting and insights to improve future content performance.
Store collaboration and field content
- Travel regularly to Woodie’s stores to gather on-site content.
- Develop strong working relationships with store teams to uncover content ideas.
- Coordinate planned content capture with store colleagues in advance.
- Ensure all content accurately reflects the Woodie’s brand and customer experience.
Skills and experience
- Background in content creation, digital marketing, or social media production.
- Strong video shooting and editing ability using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Canva, or Premiere Pro.
- Comfortable working both behind and in front of the camera.
- Good grasp of social-first storytelling and how to structure content effectively.
- Hands-on experience creating content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
- Excellent organisation and detail management, especially for files and workflows.
- Ability to plan and run content shoots efficiently.
- Strong awareness of social trends and how different platforms behave.
- Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.

Additional information
