Job description

Company Overview

Poppin Parties is a Houston-based full-service event production company focused on premium, fully managed events. The team handles every stage internally, from concept through cleanup, and works with private clients, executive assistants, HR teams, office managers, and marketing departments. Their events are crafted to be polished, intentional, and aligned with the brand, including holiday galas, company celebrations, leadership retreats, and brand activations. Using a design-led approach, they oversee everything from custom fabrication to entertainment so clients can stay focused on the experience.

Role Summary

This opening is for a lively, outgoing, and imaginative Social Media Assistant to support content creation for the company. It is a practical, in-person role working closely under Krystal’s direction to document events and shape that material into engaging digital content. The position is suited to someone early in their career, someone with event planning exposure, or anyone who naturally understands how a room evolves and wants to learn how to turn real moments into a story. The role is intended as a paid trial covering upcoming events, with the possibility of moving into a long-term support position if the fit is right for both sides.

Key Duties

In this role, you will help manage the entire content process under guidance. You will attend parties and activations on site, interact confidently with guests, and capture authentic moments on camera. You will also support video editing in Adobe Premiere or a similar professional editing setup, making sure content is refined before it is reviewed. In addition to video work, you will help keep social channels organized, schedule content, support engagement with the audience, and assist Krystal with newsletter writing and scripting. A big part of the job is learning to think ahead, understand the flow of an event, and help build a clear narrative before, during, and after the occasion.

Who This Role Suits

This opportunity is best for someone who enjoys fast-paced event environments, is comfortable approaching people, and can help create content without hesitation. It is ideal for a person who can take direction well, adapt to a brand’s voice, and contribute to both visual and written storytelling. The role also requires someone who can anticipate what will happen at an event and actively look for the moments that matter.

Additional Information

This is a part-time, onsite position and may grow into a full-time role over time. It begins as a paid trial for upcoming events, with the aim of determining whether there is a strong mutual fit before a longer-term commitment is made. Evening and weekend availability is necessary because event coverage will take place during those hours.
