Job description
About Kinn Studio
Kinn Studio is a contemporary fine-jewelry label headquartered in Los Angeles. The brand makes timeless heirloom-inspired pieces meant for everyday wear and for passing down across generations. Established in 2017, it blends craftsmanship and storytelling with a vintage-informed aesthetic and a modern sensibility. All solid gold pieces are 14k and are neither gold-filled nor plated.
The company is a compact, quality-focused team that works at speed, collaborates closely, and pays close attention to every detail, from product design to brand narrative to how the brand appears in the market. As the business grows from a digitally native company into an omnichannel retail brand with flagships in Los Angeles and New York City, the way it shows up culturally has become increasingly important.
Role Overview
Kinn Studio is hiring a Social & Content Lead to shape the brand’s presence across social media through strategy, storytelling, content production, and performance optimization. Reporting to the Head of Brand, this role will define how the brand appears on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn.
The person in this role will develop channel strategies, create repeatable content formats, spot cultural openings, and produce content that supports both brand building and commercial goals. This position is best suited to someone who can think strategically and move quickly in execution. A strong understanding of how social media shapes brand perception and how everyday moments can become engaging content is essential.
Core Responsibilities
Strategy and channel ownership account for about 60% of the role, with content creation and execution making up around 40%.
- Take ownership of Kinn’s social presence across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn.
- Create and implement platform-specific plans that align with brand, retail, product, and business objectives.
- Build a well-managed content calendar tied to launches, campaigns, store activity, collaborations, and timely cultural moments.
- Design recurring series and storytelling systems that drive consistency and audience interaction.
- Work with leadership to shape founder-led content and narrative-driven point-of-view posts.
- Spot opportunities to enter relevant cultural conversations in a way that stays true to the brand.
- Monitor platform changes, audience behavior, and emerging trends while protecting brand standards.
- Review channel performance and turn insights into clear next-step recommendations.
- Look for ways to increase reach, engagement, community growth, site traffic, and conversion.
- Lead everyday content production across social channels.
- Capture and create content featuring products, customers, team members, retail experiences, events, and behind-the-scenes moments.
- Shoot and edit short-form video tailored to each platform.
- Produce social-first creative such as reels, stories, carousels, graphics, and lightweight motion content.
- Write captions and schedule or publish content across channels.
- Comfortably appear on camera, work behind the camera, and direct others during shoots.
- Use CapCut, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable tools to produce polished, brand-aligned assets.
- Collaborate closely with Brand, Creative, Marketing, Retail, and Ecommerce teams.
- Coordinate with the Community & Influencer Manager to keep owned, earned, and creator-led content aligned.
- Support content needs for store openings, events, trunk shows, partnerships, and campaign launches.
- Partner with photographers, designers, freelancers, and agency collaborators as needed.
What Success Looks Like
- The brand develops a clear and recognizable social voice.
- Reach, engagement, and influence increase steadily across channels.
- Founder, retail, product, and customer storytelling become repeatable content engines.
- Published content consistently reflects the brand’s quality, taste, and values.
- Social media contributes meaningfully to both brand equity and business outcomes.
Candidate Profile
- 4–6 years of experience in social media, content strategy, or brand storytelling.
- Experience managing social channels for a brand with a distinct point of view, preferably in fashion, beauty, luxury, lifestyle, or consumer sectors.
- Strong grasp of content strategy, platform dynamics, and audience growth.
- Excellent taste and editorial judgment.
- Hands-on ability in video, photography, and social-first content production.
- Comfort with independently shooting, editing, posting, and reviewing performance.
- Working knowledge of CapCut, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar creative tools.
- Solid understanding of what drives brand affinity as well as commercial performance.
- Well organized, self-starting, and able to work with limited supervision.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment where ideas move quickly from concept to execution.
