Site Project Engineer

Job Overview

Manage and coordinate daily on-site construction activities to ensure that projects progress safely, punctually, and within budgetary constraints. The role demands robust technical expertise and hands-on experience to facilitate project execution in line with design criteria and quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and organize site operations ensuring alignment with project timelines and plans
• Act as the main communication link between design teams, contractors, suppliers, and client representatives
• Oversee quality of work, enforce safety protocols, and verify conformance to project specifications
• Assist in drafting work schedules, allocating resources, and preparing progress reports
• Conduct inspections of materials and workmanship, resolving on-site technical challenges
• Support the Project Manager in overseeing subcontractor and contractor performance
• Lead site meetings and provide regular status reports to project stakeholders
• Ensure strict observance of health, safety, and environmental guidelines at the site
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation and site records
• Identify risks and implement plans to prevent project delays

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline with a minimum of 7 years of pertinent professional experience
• Alternatively, a Master’s degree in a relevant field with at least 5 years of applicable experience
• Comprehensive understanding of construction techniques, materials, and engineering fundamentals
• Exceptional interpersonal and coordination capabilities
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and perform effectively under pressure
• Familiarity with project management and scheduling tools such as MS Project or Primavera is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills
• Awareness of and compliance with health, safety, and environmental statutes governing construction sites
• Team-oriented with a collaborative work approach in multi-disciplinary environments
