Role overview
Wills Bros Ltd is looking for an accomplished Site Agent / Project Site Agent to take a senior, site-led role on major civil engineering and infrastructure works across the South East Region. The position involves steering day-to-day site activity, overseeing several work packages, and backing the Project Manager to help ensure delivery is safe, on schedule, within budget, and aligned with the required quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Direct the everyday running of the site and coordinate multiple work streams.
- Keep delivery safe, timely, cost-conscious, and compliant with specification.
- Assist the Project Manager with planning, sequencing, and programme control.
- Work closely with site engineers, foremen, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain progress.
- Ensure RAMS, Method Statements, ITPs, and internal procedures are followed.
- Run daily site or whiteboard coordination meetings.
- Track progress, productivity, quality, and commercial performance throughout the project.
- Maintain detailed site documentation and contribute to monthly progress updates.
- Champion a positive safety mindset and reinforce company values on site.
Requirements
- A degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- At least 5 years of experience in a Senior Site Agent, Project Site Agent, or comparable role.
- Hands-on experience delivering civil infrastructure projects such as roads, structures, heavy civil works, or marine projects.
- Experience working with either a main contractor or a civil engineering subcontractor.
- Strong working knowledge of Irish health, safety, and environmental rules and standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, question design where needed, and solve site-level issues.
- Effective communication skills and strong people management capability.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office 365, Project, and SharePoint.
- A full driving licence is required.
- Must satisfy all regulatory security checks, including clearance from the relevant national aviation authorities and An Garda Síochána, in order to obtain and keep airside security clearance and an Airport ID pass.
