About the Role
The Shift Manager at Third Wave Coffee plays a pivotal role in fostering a rich coffee culture by educating customers and promoting coffee products and brewing equipment. This position involves preparing and serving high-quality coffee beverages along with seasonal specialty drinks and food options, while ensuring top-notch customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage customers by understanding their coffee preferences and needs, facilitating tastings of manual brews and food samples to enhance experience.
- Prepare beverages and food items strictly following standardized recipes to guarantee consistent quality.
- Drive sales by recommending products based on customer preferences, thereby supporting revenue generation.
- Manage merchandise inventory including stock on display racks and Food Display Units, ensuring timely restocking.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while operating equipment, complying with preventive maintenance schedules, and coordinating repairs as needed.
Workplace Conduct
- Maintain a safe, secure, hygienic, and clean environment in accordance with SOPs.
- Collect and respond to customer feedback regarding products and the ambiance, escalating significant concerns to the Shift Manager.
- Demonstrate ownership in personal development and learning, while sharing acquired skills and knowledge with team members.
