Role overview
This position involves supporting diesel engine service work at sites across the world. You will work alongside a team lead and technicians to deliver hands-on technical support at an experienced level. The role covers maintenance, fault-finding, repair work, overhauls, and inspections for diesel engines, generators, and related auxiliary systems in workshops and at customer locations onshore and offshore. The work also includes servicing high-speed diesel generators and marine engines in line with approved work cards, procedures, and technical references.

Key duties
- Handle maintenance, repair, overhaul, and servicing work for high-speed diesel generators, marine engines, and turbochargers.
- Carry out LMRA before work begins, use PPE correctly, and follow all HSE rules and Everllence standards.
- Get major service jobs ready by confirming spare parts, special tools, materials, and service timelines.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and reports to complete work accurately.
- Organize on-site execution, manpower, and assembly steps, while coaching and assisting service technicians and engineers.
- Support customers with technical guidance, oversee assembly and disassembly tasks, and advise on preventive maintenance.
- Perform commissioning, performance checks, troubleshooting, and failure analysis, then suggest corrective measures.
- Document service activities accurately, work with standard and specialized software, review maintenance data, and identify improvement opportunities.
- Record, report, and investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses following company procedures.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally gained in heavy equipment, marine operations, or power plants.
- Practical exposure to health and safety, quality, and service job management.
- Knowledge of one or more relevant product lines, such as MAN high-speed engines including 175D, Caterpillar, Perkins, MTU, Deutz, Cummins, or YANMAR.
- Good grasp of both technical and commercial aspects of the business.
- Understanding of work preparation, basic project management, and leadership.
- Readiness to travel internationally.
- Ability to prepare technical reports using Microsoft Office.
Preferred profile
- Familiarity with engine auxiliaries such as separators, coolers, and filters.
- Background in application engineering.
- Experience leading teams.
- Exposure to process measuring technology.
