Role overview

This is a full-time remote opportunity for an SEO Specialist, Content Writer, and Web Content Coordinator with Génération Montante des Maintenanciers Industriels du Burkina Faso (G2MI-BF). The position is centered on strengthening the organization’s digital presence by improving search visibility, refining website content, and keeping web pages accurate, consistent, and aligned with the organization’s objectives.

What you will do

You will plan and implement SEO initiatives, update and enhance website pages, and coordinate content changes across the site. The role calls for regular keyword research, on-page optimization, link-building support, and performance tracking through analytics platforms. You will also draft and edit content that is clear, engaging, and technically sound, while working with internal teams to collect information and maintain branding and accessibility standards.

In addition, you will produce recurring performance summaries, use data to suggest improvements, and keep up to date with evolving SEO and content best practices.

Qualifications and experience

The role requires solid foundational SEO skills, especially in keyword research and on-page SEO, with the ability to spot ranking opportunities and improve pages for both users and search engines. You should be comfortable carrying out SEO audits and working with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Search Console to understand site performance and make informed decisions.

Experience with ethical link-building methods is important, along with strong writing and editing ability for web content. Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress, and basic HTML/CSS for formatting and publishing pages, will be useful. You should also have strong organization and coordination skills to manage multiple SEO and content tasks in a remote, full-time setting.

Good written and spoken English is required, and French is considered an advantage due to the regional context. Prior exposure to industrial maintenance, engineering, or technical subject matter is a plus. A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, IT, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience, is expected.
