Role overview
Fuse Energy is seeking a Senior/Lead Recruiter focused on infrastructure hiring to help build its physical infrastructure team from the ground up. The role centers on recruiting for Grid Interconnection, Data Center Project Development, Land Acquisition, and High-Voltage/Substation Engineering. This is an opportunity to join a fast-moving startup helping shape the future of energy infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Create focused sourcing plans to attract strong candidates from data center operators, renewable energy developers, and the power/grid industry.
- Evaluate applicants for both technical strength and fit with the company culture.
- Run efficient, high-quality hiring workflows by maintaining pipeline momentum, coordinating interview feedback, and ensuring candidates have a smooth experience.
- Lead offer discussions and successfully close candidates in competitive infrastructure and energy talent markets.
- Work closely with hiring managers and department leaders to understand technical needs, priorities, and hiring timelines in detail.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of end-to-end recruiting experience, with strong emphasis on technical hiring or energy infrastructure in startup or high-growth settings.
- Demonstrated success hiring for critical upstream roles such as Grid Interconnection, Data Center or Renewable Project Development, Land Acquisition, or High-Voltage/Substation Engineering.
- Ability to find and secure candidates with specialized engineering and infrastructure expertise in a competitive local market.
- Strong partnership skills, with the ability to advise hiring managers and candidates rather than simply coordinating processes.
- Excellent relationship-building and influencing ability across all levels, including technical leaders and executives.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present the startup mission convincingly to experienced infrastructure professionals.
- Experience using modern ATS platforms, pipeline reporting, and data-informed recruiting methods to keep hiring moving quickly.
