Senior System Administrator / Infrastructure Administrator

Role Overview

This opportunity is for an experienced Senior System Administrator / Infrastructure Administrator based in Dubai, UAE. The role focuses on running and improving enterprise IT infrastructure so that critical systems remain secure, available, and efficient.

The assignment is a 4-month contract that may be extended. The work location is onsite in Dubai. Candidates must already be locally available in the UAE and hold their own visa and Emirates ID. The budget for the role is AED 10,000, with some room for negotiation.

Key Responsibilities

The selected professional will manage core identity, messaging, virtualization, endpoint, backup, server, and governance functions across the environment.

• Oversee Active Directory administration, including account provisioning and removal, Group Policy management, and access permissions.
• Maintain secure authentication and authorization processes while aligning with internal security requirements.
• Handle Microsoft Exchange Server operations, including mailbox support and issue resolution.
• Manage Veritas Enterprise Vault for email archiving, retention, and compliance needs.
• Administer Microsoft Hyper-V infrastructure, including clustering, replication, and high-availability setups.
• Support Citrix Cloud Virtual Apps, including application publishing, monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Use SCCM to deploy software, manage operating system deployments, perform patching, and prepare compliance reports.
• Implement and support Ivanti Security Controls for vulnerability remediation and patch management.
• Work with Veeam Backup & Replication and Commvault to support backup operations.
• Validate backups, assist with disaster recovery planning and testing, and carry out restoration activities when needed.
• Support HPE Synergy and HPE rack server infrastructure, including related hardware coordination and vendor support.
• Track system performance, health, logs, and alerts to maintain stable operations.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and infrastructure standards.
• Ensure all activities follow organizational security and governance policies.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should bring strong hands-on infrastructure administration experience, sound troubleshooting ability, and the confidence to manage critical enterprise systems independently. Good analytical thinking, communication, and stakeholder handling are also important for success in this role.

Required Experience

This position requires 8+ years of relevant experience in system or infrastructure administration.

Salary and Employment Terms

The contract runs for 4 months and can be extended. The salary budget is AED 10,000 and may be slightly negotiable. This is an onsite role in Dubai, UAE. Applicants must be locally available in the UAE and have their own visa and Emirates ID.
