Role overview
The organization is looking for a skilled Senior System Administrator to strengthen the Information Technology Department and support ongoing infrastructure upgrades and digital transformation efforts. In this position, you will oversee the company’s servers, network, and datacenter environment, with a focus on keeping systems stable, secure, and running efficiently. The role also involves supporting day-to-day business continuity, leading technical work, and delivering advanced infrastructure assistance across the enterprise.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee datacenter activities, server systems, and network setups to maintain uptime and strong performance.
- Guide and assist the Operations team by planning schedules, organizing resources, and making sure recurring tasks are completed on time.
- Evaluate business needs and translate them into infrastructure designs, implementations, and ongoing maintenance aligned with IT standards and best practices.
- Keep a close watch on network protection, system health, server rollouts, and user access to ensure a secure environment.
- Handle Microsoft Exchange 2016 administration, including mailbox setup, mailbox policies, Outlook Web App access, SSL certificates, and public certificates.
- Support hybrid Exchange setups, Office 365 migration activities, SharePoint administration, and resolution of email-related technical issues.
- Administer mail security and mail routing platforms such as Barracuda and Proofpoint.
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and user access rights within Windows Server environments.
- Set up and maintain Hyper-V virtualized environments, track host performance, and manage virtual machine resources.
- Carry out backup and restoration processes for critical servers using Veeam Backup and Symantec Backup Exec.
- Work with external vendors, consultants, and internal teams to deliver infrastructure projects and meet operational needs.
Qualifications and experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar discipline is required.
- Microsoft credentials such as MCSA, MCSE, Microsoft 365, or equivalent are preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in system administration, infrastructure support, or a related position is needed.
- Practical, hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, Active Directory, Windows Server administration, and virtualization tools is expected.
- Experience with Hyper-V, VMM, Veeam Backup, Symantec Backup Exec, Barracuda, and Proofpoint is important for this role.
- Strong troubleshooting ability, analytical thinking, and structured problem-solving skills are essential.
- Good communication and coordination skills are required to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
