Senior Supply Chain Planner

Role overview

As a Senior Planner in Global Supply Planning, you will make sure the right materials are available at the right time to support production and worldwide deliveries. This role is highly hands-on and combines planning, issue resolution, and stakeholder coordination to keep supply flowing smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Lead pre-season planning for direct-sourced materials in line with the Go-To-Market calendar.
• Create and maintain long-range as well as seasonal supply plans.
• Design and run material prepositioning strategies that help ensure on-time delivery.
• Check supplier capacity plans against demand forecasts and align them as needed.
• Track forecast changes and update plans before issues arise.
• Manage in-season planning work, including tracking prepositioned materials, analysing PO delays, defining recovery actions, and improving PO CRD (Committed Ready Date).
• Monitor monthly material usage against supplier commitments.
• Oversee end-of-season leftover materials, including validation and reporting.
• Work with internal stakeholders to reuse excess material and cut down scrap.
• Partner with direct-sourced and nominated suppliers to address risks such as demand changes, capacity limits, and forecast gaps.
• Review forecast versus actual results regularly to surface risks early.
• Prepare action plans and communicate them clearly to all relevant stakeholders.
• Continuously improve planning processes and automate where possible.
• Deliver pre-season milestones accurately and on schedule.
• Ensure material preposition plans are executed effectively to support on-time delivery.
• Build strong working relationships across Global Planning, Asia Product Supply, and supplier teams.
• Act as the process owner for global material planning and drive process improvements.
• Strengthen planning agility and consistency across methods and teams.
• Support Global Supply Planning and Material Sourcing KPIs such as On-Time Performance and Buy Acceptance Rate.
• Prepare reports and presentations on demand patterns, risks, and opportunities.
• Assess supplier performance, including execution discipline and responsiveness.
• Support change initiatives and communicate business priorities clearly.
• Work closely with planning, sourcing, and supplier teams to align demand and supply.
• Use data to make decisions and spot risks early.
• Convert analysis into clear recommendations and actions.
• Stay organised while managing several priorities and deadlines.
• Communicate effectively and build trust with stakeholders across regions.
• Take ownership and adapt quickly when plans change.

Requirements

• Prior experience in supply chain, material planning, or sourcing; experience in apparel or footwear is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of forecasting, S&OP, and supply planning.
• Experience working with suppliers and managing supply-related risks.
• Strong English communication skills; Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Tableau or Power BI is preferred.
• Exposure to Power Query, KNIME, or similar tools is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to make assumptions and run what-if scenarios.
• Comfort in turning data into concise insights and presentations.
• Ability to work both independently and with cross-functional teams.
• Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment.
• Detail-oriented, organised, and open to continuous improvement.
• Willingness to take ownership and make decisions when required.
