Senior Software Engineer C++ and C# / .NET, COM and ActiveX

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced senior developer who began their career in C++ and later moved into .NET/C# development. This role suits someone comfortable working with both older platforms and modern application stacks, especially in enterprise environments.

What You Will Do

• Build, support, and improve applications using C++ and .NET/C#.
• Work with older components and applications based on COM and ActiveX while also supporting modernization efforts.
• Create solutions that are secure, scalable, and efficient under load.
• Partner with teams across functions to gather needs and deliver dependable software.
• Investigate defects, resolve issues, and improve application performance.
• Follow coding standards, development best practices, and security expectations.
• Take part in code reviews and contribute ideas for ongoing engineering improvements.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of hands-on C++ development experience.
• Practical experience working with .NET/C#.
• Strong working knowledge of COM and ActiveX technologies.
• Ability to operate across both legacy and newer technology environments.
• Experience writing secure, reliable, and high-quality code.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Background

• Experience building enterprise applications.
• Exposure to migration or modernization initiatives.
• Knowledge of performance improvement and tuning practices.

Location and Employment

Hyderabad is the preferred location, though remote work is available across India. This is a full-time, permanent position.
