Role overview
The Senior Receptionist will act as the front-of-house lead while also handling a range of administrative duties in a busy professional office. You will work alongside the Workplace and Administration team to ensure visitors are greeted warmly and the office operates smoothly each day.
Key duties
- Welcome guests and serve as the first point of contact for the organisation.
- Answer and route incoming telephone calls and general enquiries.
- Organise meeting rooms and make sure they are maintained to a high presentation standard.
- Support the wider business with everyday administrative tasks.
- Help with expense processing and other ad hoc admin work.
- Assist in planning and coordinating internal and client-facing events when needed.
- Partner with colleagues to keep office operations running efficiently.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in reception, front-of-house, guest services, or another customer-facing role. A polished manner, strong service mindset, and confidence in dealing with people are essential. You should also be a clear communicator, well organised, comfortable juggling several priorities, and eager to contribute as part of a team. Good attention to detail is important, and experience in a corporate setting would be beneficial though not mandatory.
Additional information
This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with an immediate start preferred. The role is based fully in the office in Liverpool Street, London. Working hours are 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:45am and 5:30pm, with exact timing dependent on team needs. On successful completion of the temporary period, the salary is up to £50,000 plus benefits. This is a strong opportunity to join a successful business that is continuing to grow.
