About the role
Datacom is expanding its national Project Services function and is looking for a Senior Project Manager to support delivery for a key customer. Based in Adelaide, this role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard, staying within scope, budget, and agreed timelines. You will own delivery from the point it is handed over by Sales and will be central to stakeholder coordination, deliverable management, and successful project outcomes. The role also follows a flexible working approach, balancing in-person collaboration with work-from-home options where suitable.
Key responsibilities
- Lead projects end to end, including planning, progress tracking, and control of scope changes and variations.
- Prepare accurate, polished project documents and technical content with strong attention to detail.
- Help shape and plan business analysis work so project needs are clearly defined and understood.
- Support a variety of business analysis tasks to capture requirements and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Handle project administration and related coordination tasks.
- Assist Sales and Presales teams with RFQs, RFPs, RFIs, and variation-related responses.
- Adapt to changing customer, technology, and internal needs as part of a flexible project environment.
Requirements
- Strong customer orientation and the ability to establish trusted, long-term relationships.
- Excellent planning and organisation skills, with a careful eye for detail.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deliver under pressure.
- Proven success delivering projects on time, within budget, to scope, and to the required quality.
- Experience assisting Sales and Presales teams with bid responses and project variations.
- Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain Australian Government Baseline clearance.
- Desirable: experience across different industries or project settings.
- Desirable: formal project management training or certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile.
Perks and benefits
- Social events and opportunities to connect with colleagues.
- Relaxed spaces for downtime.
- Flexible remote working options.
- Flexible working hours.
- Access to professional development courses.
- A collegial, flat-structured workplace where contributions are recognised.
- Opportunities to learn, grow your career, and work on interesting technology challenges.
