Job description

About the company

TRADER is a Canadian company known for digital automotive solutions. Its key brands include AutoTrader.ca, AutoSync, Dealertrack Canada, and CMS, supporting Canadians as they buy, sell, and finance vehicles with greater confidence. As part of the AutoScout24 group, Europe’s largest online car marketplace, the company is helping shape the next generation of automotive retail in Canada and internationally. This position sits within the AutoSync team.

AutoSync focuses on improving how dealers, marketplaces, and consumers connect. Its software is designed to fuel digital growth for businesses while creating smoother purchasing experiences for customers. The organization is growing quickly and is looking for strong product leadership to guide what comes next.

Role overview

The Senior Product Manager will lead key initiatives for Activix CRM, one of the flagship products in the AutoSync portfolio. The role owns vision, strategy, and delivery, with a strong emphasis on helping the product expand into new markets and customer segments. It is a highly visible position with direct influence on company priorities and customer outcomes.

This role is based in Toronto or Montreal and requires an innovative, hands-on product leader who is comfortable working through ambiguity. The ideal candidate can connect customer, business, and technical viewpoints, and is eager to use AI tools in practical ways across product discovery, refinement, prototyping, and execution.

What you will do

  • Take responsibility for the strategy, roadmap, and complete product lifecycle of a major area within the AutoSync portfolio, from early discovery through launch and ongoing performance.
  • Drive product expansion into new markets and customer groups by assessing segment needs, testing assumptions through structured discovery, and building a roadmap that works across different stakeholder needs.
  • Use AI-enabled methods to speed up research, story development, prototyping, and discovery activities.
  • Operate effectively in an agile setting, leading large discovery efforts, rollout planning, and iterative delivery while staying accountable for results.
  • Create clear product stories, acceptance criteria, and technical context so engineering teams can move quickly and confidently, while serving as a strong partner in technical discussions.
  • Lead initiatives from start to finish, including alignment across teams, stakeholder communication, and post-launch performance tracking, while identifying risks and opportunities early.
  • Guide roadmap prioritization and business alignment, even when information is incomplete and decisions must be made in uncertainty.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customers and represent their needs to ensure solutions address real problems and drive adoption across markets and segments.
  • Work closely with design, engineering, data, sales, and marketing teams to deliver measurable results and connect the work across functions.
  • Model strong product discipline through clear thinking, solid discovery practices, and open communication while helping strengthen the overall team.
  • Communicate product vision, strategy, and business impact to executives and partners in a way that makes complex ideas easy to understand without losing detail.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, digital platforms, or multi-product environments, with proven end-to-end ownership.
  • Experience working across more than one product organization and understanding what strong product teams look like in practice.
  • Practical experience using AI tools in product work such as research, prototyping, story writing, prioritization, or workflow improvement, with an experimentation mindset.
  • Background in market or segment expansion, including shaping strategy for new audiences and aligning stakeholders around a shared roadmap.
  • Strong product management capability, including writing stories, partnering effectively with engineering, supporting go-to-market planning, and maintaining a customer-first product perspective.
  • Comfort managing stakeholders at multiple levels, with proactive communication, organized project management, and change-management thinking.
  • Solid business judgment with the ability to evaluate opportunities, define success measures, and make tradeoffs based on revenue and investment considerations.
  • A collaborative approach, willingness to share knowledge, accountability for outcomes, and a habit of helping teammates perform better.
  • Nice-to-have experience in industries serving businesses across multiple segments, such as automotive, fitness, food service, hospitality, or similar.
  • Nice-to-have familiarity with growth-focused product work such as conversion, engagement, or retention.
  • Nice-to-have hands-on experience with CRM tools.
  • Nice-to-have experience shaping strategy across a multi-product portfolio with integration points.

Perks and benefits

  • Access to benefits from day one, including gym discounts.
  • Employee and Family Assistance Program.
  • Virtual wellness events.
  • Conference and training budget.
  • Ongoing internal training programs.
  • 3% pension matching.
  • Multiple forms of income protection.

The expected compensation for this role is CAD 110,000 to CAD 140,000 per year. The employer also states that artificial intelligence may be used in the hiring process to screen, assess, or select applicants. This posting relates to an existing vacancy.
