Job description
About the Company
Delaplex was established in 2008 by a group of business-minded founders and has since become a well-regarded provider of technology consulting and supply chain solutions. The company emphasizes trust, innovation, and a strong people-first culture, with a focus on creating meaningful outcomes rather than simply delivering services.
Role Overview
This position combines product analysis, product ownership, and project management in an agile environment. The role focuses on shaping requirements, supporting AI and data-related product work, coordinating delivery across teams, and keeping stakeholders aligned from discovery through execution.
Core Responsibilities - Product & Analysis
- Work with stakeholders, technical leads, and business owners to uncover, verify, and clearly document requirements so engineering teams can implement them with minimal follow-up questions.
- Break down complex problems into staged releases and identify the smallest viable scope needed to test a hypothesis before committing to a full build.
- Build a strong understanding of the knowledge management landscape, user research processes, and AI capability gaps within the business context.
- Partner with data curation teams to define metadata standards, check data quality, and make sure AI systems are trained or informed by the correct inputs.
- Create and run A/B tests and assessment frameworks for AI agent performance, then convert the findings into product backlog decisions.
- Gather user feedback, product usage information, and model performance indicators to improve agent behavior and guide product direction over time.
- Keep product documents current, including feature specifications, user guides, and release notes, while using AI tools to reduce documentation delays.
Core Responsibilities - Project Management & Delivery
- Lead delivery planning from start to finish, including scope, milestones, timelines, resourcing, and dependency management across squads and workstreams.
- Turn product roadmaps into sprint-ready delivery plans with measurable outcomes and clear acceptance criteria.
- Run agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives with a focus on outcomes rather than process for its own sake.
- Identify risks, blockers, and scope changes early, and recommend practical mitigation steps instead of only reporting status.
- Tailor communication for different audiences so executives get concise direction while delivery teams receive the detail they need.
- Coordinate handoffs between engineering, data, design, and business teams to improve integration quality and reduce rework.
- Support change management by helping stakeholders understand scope trade-offs and the impact of scope creep on delivery.
Core Responsibilities - Collaboration & Leadership
- Serve as the link between business objectives and technical execution, contributing actively to both sides of the conversation.
- Lead product demos and milestone reviews with structured agendas, clear decision points, and actionable next steps.
- Remove blockers for squad members proactively rather than waiting for issues to become visible in stand-ups.
- Demonstrate curiosity by challenging assumptions, reviewing technical documentation, and constructively questioning existing approaches.
Required Qualifications
- 5 to 8 years of experience in product analysis, product management, or business analysis within an agile setting, ideally including at least one AI or data platform product.
- A PSPO, CSPO, or equivalent product ownership certification is required.
- Hands-on experience querying and interpreting data in Snowflake and/or AWS RDS, including reading tables, tracing lineage, and combining data sources independently.
- Proven ability to build LLM-assisted workflows or agents for a real business use case, beyond simple prompt testing.
- Exposure to vector databases or semantic search technologies such as Elasticsearch, Pinecone, Weaviate, or similar solutions is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work in Figma or a similar wireframing tool and independently create mid-fidelity mockups.
- Strong requirement-writing skills, with stories and acceptance criteria that QA teams did not need to rewrite.
- Solid cross-functional project management experience in agile or hybrid delivery settings, including dependency tracking and stakeholder communication.
- Working knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe, along with Jira and Confluence for project tracking.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional delivery certifications such as PMP or SAFe are appreciated but not mandatory.
- Background in management consulting or professional services is beneficial.
- Experience with knowledge management, enterprise search, or research technology is an advantage.
- Exposure to API design, OAuth, or webhook-style integration patterns would be useful.
- Familiarity with dbt, Airflow, or data pipeline orchestration concepts is an added plus.
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
